Client: Kruger Energy

What Kruger Energy Needed:

Kruger Energy, a subsidiary of a private forest products company, required land sourcing and management expertise to create a portfolio of properties suitable for ground-based solar development.

Our Role:

Source, evaluate, acquire and manage lands for commercial solar development in select states in the US South.

What We Did:

  • Identify and assess potential project sites (assess location, slope, soils, wetlands, transmission capacity, etc.)
  • Use GIS and other public and private data sources to research each site
  • Recommend purchase or land option terms for each project
  • Assist with project implementation and execution

Results:

Summit has evaluated hundreds of thousands of acres for Kruger and has helped the company develop a solar and land portfolio that spans four southern states. We also remain involved in both project development and ongoing site management.
